Reclaimed Oak Wood Wall Plates

We offer premium reclaimed oak wood wall plates made in-house from hand selected lumber.

Since 2010, we have been reclaiming wood from century old houses in southern West Virginia. Most of the lumber we harvest is oak from framing timbers and wide planks. As our company name suggests, this lumber was originally milled from virgin stands of timber during the first industrial logging of the state (between 1870 and 1930). This is some truly special wood! Mature trees were hundreds of years old and produced lumber with exceptionally tight growth rings and complex grain patterns. It looks nothing like the oak you will find today! Adding another layer of interest are a patina of age (dark, rich, warm color tone) and signs of past use including iron stains, nail holes and original saw marks.

Our wood wall plates are shipped sanded and unfinished. This will allow you the flexibility to match your existing woodwork or to finish your plates to your desired appearance. Antiqued stainless steel screws are included with your order.
