There were some space constraints for this project. We had to fit this work desk into the small nook pictured here. Because the left side depth was only 19″, that did not allow for much desktop work space. To remedy this, we put a radius on the front edge of the desktop. The right side of the desktop has a depth of 25″. The right side cabinet is slightly deeper and angled to align with the radius. Looking from the top, the right side cabinet is actually trapezoid shaped to keep the back flush with the wall.
We made the desktop out of black walnut and the base from reclaimed wood. It was salvaged wormy chestnut.
